Many of you enjoyed the culinary talents and tastes of our local food destinations and chefs during Plett on a Platter.
At Emily Moon we revealed some of our kitchen secrets, inviting the public to take part in an exceptional two-course dining experience, as our head chef Ruaan van der Merwe and manager Alex Olivier demonstrated some of Emily’s signature dishes prior to plating the meal.
The event as an absolute success! Ruaan let’s us in on the evening:
“Having never done a demo before, I must say I enjoyed the experience immensely. The interaction we shared with the enthusiastic foodies who attended was delightful – they were so inquisitive and responsive.
At first I didn’t know what to expect and felt a bit nervous as I don’t consider myself ‘a natural performer’. Alex welcomed our guests and briefly chatted through the evening’s events. Each person received a copy of the recipes we would cook.
As the demo progressed I started to feel a bit more confident. We ran through the courses, which of course raised questions, and as promised we shared some of our culinary secrets!
